Taking Time to be Grateful

Big picture
Each day at Manor School, our 4th and 5th grade morning announcers take the time to show gratitude to friends, family members, teachers, sports, and even their favorite foods. On the last day of school, a group of 5th graders wanted to tell our custodian, Mr. Jon Harrington, how much he is appreciated here at Manor. Thank you to Chloe C., Alivia F., Lily H., and Loralei W. for being so thoughtful and reading the following to Mr. Jon:

"We are Grateful for Mr. Jon"

You are so kind because:

You always take the time out of your day to say 'Hi' or "Good morning" to people. You give everyone you see a high five and you are so passionate about your job. Thank you, Mr. Jon.

In lunch, you always come around and high five every kid in the entire school and that takes so much time, and you always do it two to three times per day. Everyone enjoys that. Thank you, Mr. Jon.

In the afternoon, you always take the time to say "Have a great afternoon" or "Enjoy your night!" This makes me so happy. It's what I look forward to. We think you're such a great custodian. Thank you, Mr. Jon.

Thank you to Mr. Jon and all the custodians for keeping our school so clean. All of us 5th graders will really miss you!

How to Access Student Progress Reports in SchoolTool

You will need to log into your child’s SchoolTool account to view the final progress report for the 2021-22 school year. If you need directions to create a SchoolTool account or learn how to access online report cards, please follow these steps:

  • Go to the HF-L website hflcsd.org

  • Click on the Menu and find Departments

Please take time to review your child’s progress, celebrating their strengths and growth, while setting goals for improvement opportunities. As partners in your child’s educational journey, your child will benefit from this experience at home and at school. Thank you for your continued support and partnership with all of us at Manor Intermediate School.
