PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Spry Families,
We have just finished our first full week of the 2021-22 school year! It still is a great feeling to see all the students back full time. There however, are a few reminders I needed to make on the morning show today. Please help by reminding your child/children about the following:
- Masks need to go over the nose. We need to keep everyone safe to be able to stay in schools 5 days a week.
Cell phones off and away during the day. You can use them after 3:15 and in a house office if needed during the day.
Stay on the sidewalks and use crosswalks to get on your bus in the afternoon.
Parent pick up is by the red/white house doors only. It is not safe to get in at other areas.
After school buses are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays.
Many clubs are starting, as well as intramurals will start on Monday.
Dress code reminders about short shirt and hats are not allowed.
Walk in the hallways and keep hands to yourself.
Be kind and respectful at all times.
Bring a water bottle.
Check their email everyday.
See something say something- see the TikTok Challenge below. We have had 4 bathrooms impacted, so far this year at Spry.
Have a wonderful weekend.

TikTok and "Devious Licks" Challenge
Recently school districts including Webster, have been dealing with some student behaviors that have become very disruptive to the school day. You may have seen reports about this behavior on social media or in the news as kids are making TikTok videos and posting them. The most recent trend is called the “devious lick” challenge where students are encouraged to steal or destroy school property and posting it online. This behavior is taking place in school districts nationwide where students are allowed to have cell phones with the TikTok App.
Destruction of school property will result in school discipline being applied, may also include paying restitution for property that has been damaged or destroyed and possibly being criminally charged.
Please talk with your child/children about respecting their fellow student peers and school property and make them aware we are taking a zero tolerance stance on this behavior.
After School Clubs/Activities/Support
Intramurals will start on Monday, September 20th.
Monday - Touch Football
Tuesday - Soccer
Thursday - Touch Football
