First Grade Morning Message
Reading
Description of Work:
I can show characters’ feelings as I read by changing my voice.
Watch Mrs. Smith teach you about changing your voice as your read. Then watch I Am A Frog by Mo Willems. As you listen and read along, notice how the characters' feelings change by how the reader's voice changes. As you read your own book today, change your voice to show your characters' feelings.
Read for 20 minutes on RAZ-Kids.
Word Work
For Word Work, watch the "AU" video. Read the Aunt Audrey passage and discuss the questions with your family.

Today you will listen to The Wartville Wizard by Don Madden.

Watch the celery experiment video. You may try your own celery experiment at home.
Celery experiment-Place celery in clear plastic cups of colored water (use food coloring).
