Check us out!

Library Orientation
All of our students (except PreK) have now visited the library. We reviewed the different library "neighborhoods", received reminders on book care, and enjoyed stories that celebrated the joy of reading. Now it is time to begin checking out books!
First Check Out
Students in grades 1-4 will be able to begin checking out books this week. Students must have all books returned from last year and a signed note from their parents to begin. A half hour lesson with a story or booktalk and whole class check out may be scheduled by emailing Mrs. Lambert or you can just bring your class for check out only when I am DIBELS testing (see below). Kindergarten classes will need to sign up for a second half hour book care lesson. The library calendar is viewable and was shared in an email last week.
Team Planning for the 1st 9 Weeks
In order to plan collaborative activities for the first nine weeks, I would like to schedule a time to meet with each grade level soon. Team leaders, please let me know the best planning day to meet with you.
DIBELS
I will be helping with DIBELS testing this week on Tuesday, and Thursday morning and next Wednesday morning. The library will be open for check out only on Tuesday and Thursday morning, when Mrs. Vite is here. It will have to be closed next Wednesday morning until 9:00 while I am testing.
Netbook Training for 3rd and 4th Grades
Mr. C and I will be working together each afternoon, this week and next, to train third and fourth graders to use our new netbooks in preparation for online DEA testing. The training will take place during the computer lab time during their specials.
