Staffing Updates
Staffing Updates for 2018-19
*Please do not share any of the staffing updates with students. Thank you!
Judy Powers- Moving to Special Education 5th Grade
Judy has graciously agreed to move to 5th grade to serve as the special education teacher. With so many changes to staffing in 5th grade, we believe that Judy moving to serve at that grade level will be a refreshing addition to the team. She is proactive on behalf of students and their academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs. She fosters independence, empowering students who advocate for themselves. She is dedicated to our students, her colleagues, and our mission at Bay Lane. She does whatever it takes for students, and she gives students a fresh start each day. She looks forward to strengthening the partnership with incoming students and families as well. We are so very grateful for Judy's commitment to our school and willingness to serve on the 5th grade team.
Jodee Vecchie- Looping with her students to 6th Grade
Jodee has shared that she is so excited to continue on another year with her awesome kids into 6th grade. "Building relationships and connections with my kids and families is so important, and next year I'll have the opportunity to strengthen these relationships and pick up right where we left off this year. I look forward to learning new things and continuing to work and grow with my kids!"
Lauren Scanlan- Moving to 5th Grade Literacy and Social Studies
Lauren shared that she is "so excited to move to 5th grade next year and loop with the kids for their 6th grade year. I so value relationships with kids both personally and academically. Looping has always been something I was interested in, and the stars aligned for it to happen this year. I have done a lot of research on the power of looping including knowing exactly where students are academically for two years. I am excited to form the strong relationships with students and families!"
Allie Temple- Special Education 6th Grade
Allie comes to Muskego-Norway from Mahone Middle Shool in Kenosha, where she served as a cross-categorical special education teacher. She currently holds licenses for cross-categorical special education (1801), regular education (1777), and emotional behavioral disorders (1830). Allison states, "As a teacher, I hope to instill a passion for learning in the minds and lives of my students. I also want my students to develop strong character traits of good citizens. I want to build a classroom community within my classroom and school, as well as have my students feel that they are safe and cared for when they are in my classroom/school. I want my students to feel as though their ideas and concerns are important and respected by myself and others."
