Uploading Student Vaccination Cards

Some parents have asked how they can upload their child’s vaccination card to our Genesis System, since vaccinated individuals do not have to quarantine as often as those who are unvaccinated. Although vaccination or proof of vaccination is not required to attend Livingston Public Schools, if your student is vaccinated, it is helpful to have vaccination cards uploaded into the Genesis Parent Portal. We can use the information on the card for contact tracing and quarantining purposes.

If you would like to upload a copy of your child’s vaccination card for Covid-19, please take the following steps:

Enter the Genesis Parent Portal here or by clicking on the Genesis Parent Portal icon on the homepage of our website, www.livingston.org.

Once in the portal:

  • Click on the “Forms” tab.

  • Click on the “COVID statement/vaccination card upload” form.

  • Scroll down to “Vaccination Statement.”

  • Click the "Choose File" box.

  • Choose the file to upload. A PDF of the card is preferred.

  • Choose "Upload File."

Thank you for your continued partnership!

REMINDER: Report Absent Students in Genesis

In order to ensure the safety of our students, parents should report their child's absence or tardy in the Genesis Parent Portal before their child's school starts for the day. This system has replaced the "Call For Safety" procedure. PLEASE NOTE: The "Call For Safety" phone lines are no longer functioning.

  • Click HERE to log onto the Genesis Parent Portal.
  • Click HERE for instruction on how to report a child absent or tardy.

LPS Equity Team

AFFINITY GROUP SIGN-UP:

The LPS Equity Team has been working with the LPS community to create "affinity groups." Affinity groups are defined as “a group of people sharing a common interest or goal, or acting together for a specific purpose.” At this time, members of our school community and equity teams have made specific requests for an LGBTQIA+ group, an AAPI group, and a BIPOC group. We welcome additional affinity groups as part of our work in equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.

These groups, which will meet approximately three times per year, will serve as an advisory group to the District Equity Team by offering their experiences, their voices, their interest in collaborating with us and their resources. To indicate your interest in participating in one of our affinity groups, please add your name and contact information to one of the forms that can be found HERE. Should additional Affinity Groups be requested, we will include sign-up information in the Spotlight newsletter and on the district website.

If you have a suggestion or a desire to partner with the district equity team in creating any additional affinity groups, please contact Lisa Steiger at lsteiger@livingston.org or your building principal.

District String Day & District Band Day

Recently, our elementary school musicians got to celebrate District String Day and District Band Day by meeting and working with the music teachers from the Middle and High Schools, giving them a peek into what their future musical journey holds for them. Students watched videos about the music program in the upper grades, performed some pieces for the teachers and received letters written to them by their High School musician counterparts. A great experience was had by all!
