This week's newsletter has many important updates. Please take a few moments to read through!
You will soon be receiving a letter from our school office about your student's class placement for when we transition into hybrid instruction. Please read the letter carefully and contact the school office with any questions or concerns.

Help Fund Teacher Aides for 2021-2022 School Year
The Coronavirus Pandemic has wreaked havoc on our lives in so many different ways. We mourn lost family members, friends, colleagues, and teachers who have shaped our lives. We worry about our families, jobs, and the children - especially the children.
Every year, Prestwood Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) strives to “fill the gaps” that our Public School faces via many fundraising events and activities. However, the pandemic has changed the landscape dramatically - in 2020-2021 the PTO has been unable to fundraise as we traditionally would to fund these gaps.
During this very complicated and confusing year, we are narrowing our fundraising focus to a single goal: to fund teacher aides for the 2021-2022 school year. WHY is this our goal?
Our students and teachers rely heavily on Teacher Aides to provide extra help and enrichment in :
MATH
READING
Managing Breakout Rooms
Answering questions and providing directions
AIDES make important learning opportunities possible, including:
TIERED LEARNING
SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION
EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT FOR THOSE WHO NEED EXTRA HELP
PRESTWOOD AIDES ARE CRITICAL TO OUR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION!
In what would be considered a “normal” year, half of the PTO budget pays for our Aides. In order to retain our teacher aides for the 2021-2022 school year, we need to raise $80,000 by April 15, 2021.
If we are unable to achieve our fundraising goal, we will lose our teacher aides, and educational quality will be impacted substantially.
The return to school will not be easy. Our Children’s academic and social-emotional needs WILL be greater; their experiences this past year vary greatly. We must prepare to support our students and our teachers as best we can. Our Aides are CRUCIAL to this mission.
We need YOUR help. As we all have seen in so many fundraising campaigns, EACH and EVERY donation MAKES A DIFFERENCE. Many drops fill a bucket!Kindergarten Registration for 21-22

● LECTURA
● Manejo de salas de Zoom
● Responder preguntas, proporcionar instrucciones
