...to our incredible teaching staff. We have several small surprises planned for you throughout the week to remind you how much we truly appreciate everything you do. Thank you for your hard work, commitment to our students, and dedication to HVCHS. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!


...to our Administrative Assistants (Aida, Laddie, Lynn, Julie, Molly, and Jen), who go above and beyond every day to make the building run successfully. We will be celebrating Administrative Assistants Day on Tuesday -- please stop by to thank them for all of their hard work!

ANNUAL EVALUATION INFORMATION

We are in the middle of annual evaluation season. Please click here for important information about the annual process, and click here for updates about the SGO and PDP completion process. In addition, we have provided a list of professional development hours that you have completed this year. If you have any questions, please reach out to the administrator responsible for completing your annual.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

The HVEF's Annual Above and Beyond Gala will be held on Friday, May 6 from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m. at the Chauncey Center. Jeff Parkinson will be recognized at the dinner as our Educator of the Year. Additional information about the event is in the main office if you are interested in attending.


Please continue to take attendance in each of your classes in order to maintain accurate records. OnCourse recently released an attendance app that will allow you to take attendance on your phone if you are interested.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Monday, May 9 is a half day for students and a full day for teachers. We will be conducting professional development at CHS from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The focus will be on the 1:1 initiative and blended learning. Please plan to meet in the cafeteria at 1 p.m. on Monday.

CONGRATULATIONS TO...

Adam Shrager, who earned the 2016 Distinguished Teacher Award from the TCNJ Department of Mathematics and Statistics.


Nicole Sebastian, who will be recognized at the Trenton Thunder Game on May 8 for her tireless efforts in the community supporting individuals with autism and other special needs.


The Marching Black and Gold (led by David Schwartzer and Jeff Parkinson), who earned a Superior Rating, the Best in Class Award, and the Gold Award of Excellence at Festival Disney.


Bella Bettino (senior), who finished 5th at the Girls MCT Golf Championship.
