MAES-Latinos in Science and Engineering at Arizona State University
The ELD classes shared in language and innovation with special guests from MAES-Latinos in Science and Engineering at Arizona State University, an experience in partnership with the Si Se Puede Foundation. Students worked in groups on the egg drop experiment, a simulation of an astronaut in a spacecraft. Each group was given a $50 budget to purchase items that would ensure their egg would be safe after the drop. They had to plan, purchase materials, as well as explain their designs, and also reflect on why their designs did or did not work in front of the class. Both ELD classes had a successful egg landing!
Bring Change 2 Mind
Vani Sanganeria and Sanji Patel represented Hamilton High as officers of Bring Change 2 Mind at a fund raiser to expand the club to other high schools in Arizona. Over $300,000 was raised at the fund raiser where Vani spoke as one of four panelists representing BC2M.

HHS Rock Stars
Bruce Debruin nominated Phil Gonzales - Phil has been here since Hamilton opened and he is one of the reasons why we are the best high school in the state. Phil is an excellent classroom teacher who cares about his students. He works with all levels of kids and he is always looking for ways to help them be successful. Phil is also one of the best tennis coaches in the state. He has built a powerful program that consistently ranks near the top. Kids enjoy playing for him. He also takes great pride in the fact that his tennis kids are also excellent students. Phil truly is an example of a Hamilton Rock Star.
For the first time this year, I volunteered to help with the Holiday get-together organized by Rajani. It really was a beautiful and memorable soiree for the families who were invited and a true testament to the hard work that Rajani puts into her job here at Hamilton. From the warm welcome by the volunteers as the family were coming in, to the song performed by the choir students which put us in the holiday spirit, coupled with the tastefully decorated cafeteria and the nice buffet, all was perfect. Everything planned by Rajani and her team contributed to a very nice evening to help our sometimes forgotten families.
