Homecoming

Creekside Community High School hosted its first homecoming celebration. The celebration consisted of dancing, fantastic food choices, movie options, game room fun and photo booth!

Dia de las Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Día de las Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a Mexican holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and by people of Mexican heritage elsewhere. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and helping support their spiritual journey. In our school, we celebrated by sharing stories about our loved ones, enjoying good food, and setting up an altar for the people we have lost. by: Nayana Lee

Creekside Thanksgiving Celebration

There was a feast for the whole school where they had a bunch of food and desserts. There were also activities that you could go to and participate in. It took place in the cafeteria in the new school building. There were decorations everywhere and lights. Everyone in the school was there. We did this to celebrate thanksgiving as a community. We celebrated on November 22nd. by: Vanessa Tiedemann

Creature Feature

Animals are an important part of our school community! In every newsletter, we will shine a spotlight on one of our special friends. Let's meet our first guest!

Little Man

Almost everybody in this school knows Mrs. Wallace has a bearded dragon in her classroom, his name is Little Man. People love to hold him and he likes to be held. Little man was originally a student’s pet but was then generously donated to the science lab. Time for Fun Facts! A bearded dragon’s beard puffs up when they feel threatened and can shoot blood from their eyes.
Big picture

Our Soccer Team!

Creekside Community Highschool has a soccer team! The members of the soccer team are Jasmin Reyes, Priscila Reyes, Annette Reyes, Ivy, Ivette, Jazzy, Frankie, Izzy, and Serma and the coaches are CCHS teachers Joy Erikkson and Tisha Wallace. The reason we have this soccer team is for fun, exercise and to earn credit! Soccer practices are mainly held on Tuesday and Thursday after school. We have a game once a week at the Tualatin Indoor Soccer Center. by: Annette Reyes

Fall Graduates

When you graduate high school you off on your own in a new world that you can explore! Here are some people that graduated this year.

Student Q&A

Q? What has been your favorite classes so far this year? What has been your favorite event so far? (Homecoming, Creeksgiving, Day of the Dead etc.)

Nick Maxwell: Culinary class is awesome with all the knives and food. The Thanksgiving event was pretty awesome, it had all kinds of food with different cultures of food.

Aidan Glenn: Math. The math teachers have been really nice and understanding; they're ready to help students at any time. Homecoming had a lot of actual good music and not a bunch of mumble rap.
