PRPS Parent Council Spring Fundraiser!

Dear Panther families,

Parent Council is very excited to announce that we have chosen to be apart of the Plantables school fundraising program. With the weather warming up and many of you thinking about rolling up your sleeves and getting back into the garden, what better time to help the school!

Not only do Plantables let you grow the same high quality fruit and veggie plants used by farmers across the country, they deliver ready to plant plants to your front door exactly when you need them. That means you just have to bury them into the ground, give them some love and water and you will be enjoying them in no time!

If you or anyone you know is looking to fill their gardens, tell them to go to, at checkout enter our unique code PantherPride and the school gets 10% of the profit. Shipping is $13.99 unless you purchase 12 or more plants then its FREE shipping.

The fundraiser is running April 25th – May 10th, 2021.

Thank you for supporting our school!

Happy Growing!!

Kindergarten Registration Open Now

Perth Road PS would like to welcome new students to Kindergarten. This is an exciting time for both you and your student. Kindergarten is a wonderful experience and your student’s next phase on their journey of learning.

Kindergarten programs in Ontario offer a full day of learning for four- and five-year-olds. At Perth Road Public School, our Kindergarten program aims to nurture the whole child. In Kindergarten classrooms, a teacher and an early childhood educator work together as a team. This partnership helps to create a nurturing learning environment; giving every student the opportunity to learn in the way that is best suited to their individual strengths and needs.

Online registration for the 2021-2022 school year is now open. Register your student here

Student Logins & Google Classrooms

Google Classrooms are being used by all PRPS teachers this school year during the period of remote learning. Below is some information that you might find helpful as we navigate through this period of remote learning.

LDSB Login & Password

It is important that students use their School Login and Password information in order to access their Google Classroom and Google Meet, for privacy and security reasons. Please connect with your child's classroom teacher if you are unsure of your child's LDSB login information or need support.

Using Google Applications on a Tablet

In order to be able to access the full functionality of the Google Suite applications in the Google Classroom we recommend that families download the apps for Google Slides, Google Docs and Google Meets to their tablet (iPad). These applications are frequently used by teachers and work in conjunction with the Google Classroom. If you have a school iPad, you are able to download these programs through the Meraki app on the device.

Supports for Families

Important Information for Families of Students with Disabilities

If your child has a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, an Intellectual Disability or even a Learning Disability, we want to ensure that you have all of the resources that are available to you, including funding.

If your child has ASD, a good first step to getting connected to community supports and important information is Hayley Stolarchuk at Autism Ontario, East Region. 1-800-472-7789 x 253

If your child has an Intellectual Disability or ASD, you will want to connect with Diane Stewart at Community Living Kingston as she is a valuable source of local supports as well.

If your child has a Learning Disability, they may not be entitled to all of these supports, but you should connect with Learning Disabilities Kingston to learn more.

If you are not already receiving ACSD (sometimes referred to as ODSP) funds, the Ontario Disability Tax Credit, or Special Services at Home funds, you should inquire about this as soon as possible. The people at the resources listed above can help you with all of these things. Or, there are some virtual information sessions taking place that you may wish to join. See below:
