Adopt-A-Family Needs Your Help!

Marisa found out from the Department of Human Services that KP, in fact, does need to deliver all the Adopt-A-Family gifts to Town Hall (instead of them picking up the gifts from KP as originally thought). She is going to try to deliver the gifts on Thursday and Friday. If you are at all interested in or able to help in delivering the gifts, please e-mail Marisa. She will coordinate times and days with you. Thank you in advance!

Calling all knitters and crocheters

Kathy Shoemaker and Cheryl Pacyna are in the process of organizing a knitting event for January 22, 2015. It will run from 4:30PM- 6:15PM and will include students and adults (mothers, grandmothers, guardians, aunts and uncles etc.) and of course KP staff. The event will be promoted as an ACT of KINDNESS. We will create baby hats and squares to be sewn into baby blankets. Our baby items will be donated to St. Agnes Home, right here in W. Hartford. This is a residential facility that provides supportive services for pregnant and parenting adolescent mothers and their infants.

If anyone is interested in being part of the planning, sewing together of squares, or able to be available to support participants who may need some help with their project, we would love to hear from you. Of course, if you simply want to knit for babies, please mark your calendars and join us.
