Training Camp 2016
Principal's Letter
Dear KHS Team:
It's an exciting time around campus with two-a-days going in full force right now. Carpet has been installed and the movers are making preparations to unload the cafeteria and reload classrooms. On Tuesday our students will pick up their schedules and welcome the newest class to the building.
The administrative team has been making preparations for the return of students and staff. We have attended workshops designed to support you and help our students experience success. The new year will require risk-taking and other opportunities that require us to be pushed out of comfort zones. We look forward to sharing this information with you soon.
This weekend will mark the beginning of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. One thing I especially enjoy about the Olympics is the witnessing of the human spirit to prevail through many obstacles every four years. I often get a big lump in my throat when I hear the National Anthem played during the awards ceremony and see the athletes honored. Although we do not give a gold, silver, and bronze every four years; we certainly award a diploma to those who have accepted the challenge and made the commitment to graduate at the end of their four year journey. The Olympics showcase many stories of goal-setting, perseverance, grit, and teamwork. As we witness this year's Olympics, may we be reminded of strength gained from dedication, fairness, respect, overcoming struggles, and teamwork.
Go Bobcats!
