Quist ROYALS Weekly News
April 21, 2023
Hello ROYALS!
What a great week at Quist Middle School! Teachers are working hard to provide lessons that are engaging for students. Students are showing up as curious and wanting to expand their knowledge as they engage in learning.
As we shared last week, safety is a priority at Quist. Next week you will notice staff will be wearing yellow vests when they are in a supervisory role. The vests simply help to make the adults more visible and identifiable to students and to you. I would encourage you to wave to let them know you see them and as a thank you for making Quist a safe space.
We appreciate your support!

8th grade end of year information
8th graders will be done with school at 12:45 p.m. on May 25. Buses will be here to pick them up and take them home. Continuation is that night at 5:30 p.m. Students will meet at 5 p.m.
WEB is hosting an 8th grade send-off BBQ on May 18 from 5:30-7 p.m. Families are welcome to come. Please RSVP here if you can make it. We are trying to get an idea for numbers.
We need parent help to support our 8th grade send off. We are asking for food donations for the BBQ and will need parents to help monitor backyard games/activities during the event so that Web leaders don't have to work at their send off. If you're willing and able to help, here are our sign-ups.

Fill-the-Truck
Great news! Harambe and Thornton Fire Department are joining forces this month to serve others by hosting a "Fill-the-Truck" Pathways competition. New sock donations will be collected April 11- 28th. The Pathways which collects the most new socks wins time with the Fire Department. We will have a fire truck out front on April 28th to fill it full of socks! The Fire Department will then donate the socks to help those in need in our community.

Tickets for the Under the Stars dance will be sold in the front office starting April 25 before school, during lunches and after school. The front office has no change, so please bring exact amount of $5. Tickets will be on sale until May 12.
