L.E.T. There Be News! Week of August 26th and 27th
Welcome Forward Lee Eaton Family!
You may have noticed that our front sign states Welcome Forward rather than Welcome Back. We are so looking FORWARD to a great year! We are super excited to have students in the building and we truly enjoyed our Meet & Greet. It was great to see their smiles as they enjoyed their popsicles, popcorn, and meeting their teachers. The kids did fantastic on both days this week as they settled in. We started Thursday morning with our morning music of "The Best Day of My Life" and Friday morning with "Can't Stop the Feeling". Students are welcome to submit songs to Mrs. Tonsing and Mr. Rudowsky for potential morning music. Please discuss songs with your student(s) as they decide on a submission choice. Songs should be uplifting and obviously appropriate for school. An option to start with would be on Kidz Bop, but it does not have to be.
We must off a HUGE thank you to Katrina Jackson and your PTA volunteers for supporting us with our faculty lunch and Meet & Greet! We could not be more thankful for such an awesome partnership. We look FORWARD to future events and fun for OUR kids.
Arrival and Dismissal
We ask that all drivers form 2 lines coming into the parking lot off of Ledge Road. This will allow us to limit the traffic issue on both lanes on Ledge.
We noticed a great post on the Lee Eaton PTA Facebook page with a wonderful description of our carpool lines. Thank you and a shout out to your PTA, specifically Mrs. Varian, for that description. That same Lee Eaton PTA Facebook page has other great information as well including the Box Tops App - Thank you Mrs. Jones.
We had a fairly smooth bus departure this week with students finding their buses. We always make sure all students know which bus they are getting on and we will continue to assist all students find their way to their bus prior to any bus leaving the parking lot. Especially so on the first few weeks of school as students learn their routines. If you or your student(s) feel nervous or anxious about this please let us know so that we know to assist where we can.
Picture Day!
We will also be having our vision and hearing screening that same day.
