The Future of Teaching is Bright!

Congratulations to Ashley Mihalik and Leah Shuler on their gold rating for their Interactive Bulletin Board competition at Indiana State Educator's Rising Competition (high school version of ISTA). They are national qualifiers. Way to go ladies! The future of teaching is bright with these young ladies.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to Addie Borden on being selected as one of only 12 cheerleaders in the state to make the Indiana Academic All State Cheer Team! This 12-member team was selected from an incredibly talented pool of applicants, and these individuals not only excel as cheerleaders, but also in the classroom and the community.

Project Substance Free Winners

During our Impact time over the school year, we provided a prevention program to the sophomore class. The students participated in the Project Substance Free (PSF) program. Subjects included were: Active Listening, Stereotyping, Drug Myths and Denials, Chemical Dependency, Life Consequences of Substance Use, Stress, Health, Goals, Tobacco Education, Self-Control, Marijuana Education, Thought/Behavior Loops, Decision-Making, and Commitment.

After each subject was presented, the students completed an exit ticket to show their understanding of the related topic. From all of the names who participated in the feedback, we drew for 3 gift cards provided by the Scott County Partnership.

In the photo we have Michelle Cope (our first place winner receiving a $50 gift card), Myca Buckel (our second place winner receiving a $30 gift card), and Brandt Kendall (our third place winner receiving a $20 gift card).

Thank you to Mr. Snowden for working with Kimberly Williams from the Scott County Partnership to facilitate this in our building.

PROSSER will be on e-Learning May 2nd

Prosser students will need to log-in to their class for e-Learning on May 2nd. Scottsburg High School classes will run on their normal schedule.

You will still need to sign up to complete the driving portion through the High School. We recommend driversed.com. Though you can use any class approved by the BMV, that list is available by searching "Licensed Driver Training Schools-In.gov".

The SHS office can print a Harmony page that can be used as one of the address documents needed. Students will be given a test over the Indiana Drivers Manual and a vision test before obtaining their Learner's Permit.
