Deforestation
An example of an HEI for land would include deforestation. Deforestation is the clearance or removal of a forest or stand of trees where the land is used for non-forest use. An example of deforestation would include turning forest land into urban use.
Water Pollution
Water pollution is the contamination of bodies of water including oceans, gulfs, lakes (etc.). It occurs when pollutants are entered into the water without proper treatment. Deforestation can cause water pollution for many reasons. One may be trees hold in the soil in which water is there in the form of aquifer. If trees are not there the water can easily get polluted.
Deforestation
Deforestation occurs throughout the world.
Water Pollution
Water pollution is a worldwide problem.

Effects and Prevention
Deforestation and water pollution both strongly effect the world today. Deforestation is a contributor to global warming and decrease of wildlife, while water pollution effects our water supply from fresh drinking water to fresh bodies of water for wildlife. In the future I believe deforestation will decrease our vital oxygen and wildlife, and water pollution will decrease healthy marine animals and plants. Both problems effect everyone and will continue to effect us if these problems still continue to occur. Some ways deforestation could be prevented may include using recycled items, planting trees and trying to use less paper. Some ways water pollution could be prevented may include to stop littering, conserve water and using less water.
Questions?
1.) What is deforestation a contributor of?
2.) What are some of the best ways that deforestation and water pollution could be prevented in an environment?
