From The Principal

Our Big Kahuna fundraiser is drawing to a close! Please work hard with your child these last few days to sell some items and raise money for our school!

We had a great Coffee and Conversation with the Principal session this week. If you couldn't make this one, try to join us for the October session, on Tuesday, October 1! Find out about things going on at our campus and hear more about our LifeLeader. I hope to see you there!

Take a moment this weekend to ask your child about how school is going. Make those questions open-ended and listen to what your child has to tell you!

Have a great weekend!

Students must have perfect attendance during the month, no absences, tardies, or early checkouts. There will be a prize for students that are in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade and a prize for students in 4th grade thru 6th grade. The prize winners will be announced during morning announcements and we will contact the parents/guardians to come by the office to pick up the prizes. Please see Pages 3-4 of the Student Handbook for the Attendance guidelines.

Prize for September: Drone

When you are ready to lead, you are able to clearly communicate your message. Your message will be well received and understood. Listening to others with your eyes and ears, making eye contact, and responding to what others say helps you to be a good communicator. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATOR.

This weeks I will statement is: “I will be an effective communicator by listening to others with my eyes and ears.”

This week’s college focus is near and dear to many of our staff members at LSRO. Fourteen of our staff graduated Southwestern Assemblies of God University here in Waxahachie. We are proud of our Lions as they have grown to over 2,000 enrolled students. While SAGU was built on educating those with a full time church ministry focus; it has grown to include many other fields including business and media arts. Visit for more info.
