WELCOME STEPHANIE LAWSON LEWISVILLE ES ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
Hello Ponies! I am honored to have the opportunity to briefly introduce myself to you all. My name is Stephanie Lawson and I have the privilege of fulfilling the role as Assistant Principal at Lewisville Elementary. I am thrilled to begin this new chapter in my professional career!
I have been an educator for 16 years. My career began in Arkansas but the last 12 years have been spent right here in LISD! Throughout my time in education, I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades at multiple campuses throughout the district. For the past three years I have served K-5 teachers as a Strategic Design Coach and an Elementary Science Learning Facilitator. I am overjoyed to be returning to a campus full time, building relationships with the staff and students, and working daily toward the goal of building a lifelong foundation for success.
I am a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, where I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Masters of Science in Reading. I received my Principal Certification from Lamar University.
I come from a very close-knit family and I am the youngest of three. My wonderful parents will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary this summer! I have the most amazing brothers in the world! Shawn and Shelton have served as my unpaid bodyguards my entire life! I love spending time with my family and friends, however if I’m not with my them, I am jetsetting and seeing the world with my husband Usher Raymond! Okay, that part isn’t true, BUT I am his #1 fan and yes, I do keep a framed picture of him on my desk. Seriously, I enjoy watching movies, trying new restaurants, reading, or simply relaxing at home.
I look forward to meeting each of you and want to thank you in advance for welcoming me into this remarkable learning community. This is going to be an amazing year!
We are almost there! Let's cross the finish line together.
On the 3 days left of school, my Principal let me...

EOY Assessment Documentation
As you are wrapping up your EOY ELA testing and inputting data, you have a couple of different options regarding the paperwork that comes along with the testing (WTW, DRA/EDL, and writing sample). Looking at the EOY checklist, it looks like they are not wanting any of the DRA/EDL assessments filed in the cum folders, UNLESS it can be used to support RtI. Otherwise, I would suggest filing it in your own files or shredding it.
EOY Classroom Celebrations
This chart explains when and where all of the EOY celebrations will happen. :-)

If you are moving rooms, please read below:
- If you are changing classrooms, please do not start moving items during the instructional day. If the classroom you are moving to is occupied, please coordinate with the current teacher to determine the most convenient time to move.
- If you need boxes, please let Mrs. Guerrero know.
I will assign a member of the instructional support team to help you pack some time during next week.
Any big boxes will be moved by district personnel on Thursday afternoon. You need to label the boxes with the new room assignment.
Furniture remains in the current room unless it is personal furniture. If you need any personal furniture moved, please talk to Betty Guerrero so she may complete a work order.
2017 End of Year Classroom Technology Information
- Technology is also requesting that teachers complete the “2017 End of Year Classroom Technology Checklist.” Please click on the link below that corresponds with your campus regarding this form. You must sign in with your “@staff.lisd.net account.” This can be completed at any time before the end of the year. This is similar to the form that was completed last year. It will provide technicians an account of what each teacher had at the end of the year in case there is anything missing in the Fall. This form includes items that are being turned in as well as items that the teacher will store. Please complete the form providing our District with an accurate record of what was in each classroom before summer break. As mentioned before, it can be completed at any time before the end of school.
