Google Cardboard: What is it?
Google Cardboard is a cheap way to experience virtual reality. The video below does a great job of explaining it although the video was made a few years ago, so the price as gone down considerably.

How do you set up your Google Cardboard?
1. Follow the directions to either build your own Google Cardboard or purchase one.
2. You need a Smartphone of some kind to be able to use Google Cardboard.
3. Download a virtual reality compatible app.
4. Enjoy your world of virtual reality.
Using Google Cardboard in the classroom
Virtual Field Trips
Your students can go on a field trip from the comfort of your classroom. They can visit the Burj Khalifa, Antartica, the International Space Station...the choices are limitless!
Educational 360 YouTube videos
There are tons of YouTube videos that work well with Google Cardboard. There are over 110,000 videos on subjects ranging from the human body to dinosaurs. It's as easy as searching through YouTube.
Museum Exhibits
Download 'Exhibit' and students can view museum exhibits from around the world. It's as if you have the artifact in the room and you can walk around and look at it.
