Veteran's Day

November 11 is Veteran's Day and we will be honoring our veterans by wearing red, white, and blue on that day. We will also hold a ceremony outside around the flag pole where we will recognize the veterans related to our Steven's students. The ceremony will be recorded and shared in the newsletter that week. We will be honoring a total of 27 veterans by placing a small American flag around the flagpole outside. In place of having our veterans and their families in attendance we will be sending home items made by students along with the video of our program.

Fire Prevention Assembly

On Monday we invited the Rocky Hill Fire Department to come and teach our students about fire safety. Students were able to see a fireman dress in his uniform and learn about the fire truck. Students really enjoyed the program and learned some great information from both Mr. Kelly and our SRO Officer Baker! I've included some pictures from the event below.

Scoops and Sprinkles

The Battle of the Schools will resume tomorrow, November 4. The store had to close last week in the middle of the battle. If you didn't make it out last week. Please consider coming out to support Stevens School this week.
