From the Nurse

Please see the following link for information regarding current SMSD COVID guidance:

https://www.smsd.org/about/departments/health-services/coronavirus-or-covid-19-information

If your student tests positive for COVID, please consider the day symptoms started or day of positive test as “day 0.” Your student may return on day 6 as long as they have been fever-free without the use of medications for 24 hours and other symptoms have resolved. Students should wear a mask on days 6-10 when they return to school.

When calling attendance for a COVID positive student, please leave the date symptoms started, as well as your student’s “day 6.” This will prevent having to call into attendance each day your student is absent.

Once a student is feeling better, but still isolating at home, we recommend they email their teachers regarding any school work they may be able to complete while home.

If you have visited the link above and still have questions, please call the SMNW nurse office. Positive cases do not need to be reported to the nurse office if you have left a message with the attendance office.

Late Start Reminders

  • Morning CAA / CTC bus leaves at 8:50am
