News for Students who attend the Career Tech Center

Reminders - CTC students last day of school is June 9 and the last day of school at JHS is June 2. Please Note: AM tech students provide transportation to JHS. PM tech students provide transportation home from school. Seniors last day at the CTC will be Friday, May 12, 2023 and Juniors last day at the CTC will be June 9.

Here is the letter that was sent to parents/students in August 2022 explaining the last day for CTC students along with the expectations for when CTC is in session and JHS is not, your student is required to attend CTC. We did, however, give flexibility over the holiday break and mid-winter break because our calendars didn’t align.

Miles of Smiles

Our Miles of Smiles (MOS) mobile dental unit is scheduled to be in Ottawa County Schools during the 2022-2023 school year. Our mobile dental unit provides free, preventive and restorative dental services for financially-qualifying children. Unfortunately, MOS will not be visiting your school this year. However, we want parents to know that they can schedule their child to be seen on our mobile unit when we will be at a school near you this Spring! Parents can schedule an appointment with us for a date when we will be at another school in your district or close by.

Electronic Miles of Smiles Application

Student Pick-up

Parents, please help your student(s) make plans for after school. Students not participating in a club, activity, or sport should ride a bus home or be picked up after school by 3:30 P.M. to avoid unstructured and unsupervised time in the building.

Thank you
