The Willard Weekly

January 4, 2016

Dear Willard Families and Community,

Happy New Year! We hope that your Winter Break has been joyful and restful. We are looking forward to continuing the school year with you on Monday, January 4, 2016. The second half of our school year promises continued learning and development of the whole child.

Our IB attitude for the month of January is empathy. Empathy is the ability to consider another's situation, in order to understand his/ her emotions and reasoning. The profile attribute that we are celebrating is being principled. Being a principled person means to act with integrity and honesty, take responsibility for his/her own actions, and have a strong sense of fairness and justice (IBO, 2009). Please share these with your child(ren) and discuss how these traits are helpful in daily life.

The Willard Weekly is posted on Willard’s Facebook page. Be sure to like it.
