The end of the world has different possible outcomes.
Sound Devices
"Some say" (1)
People believe in different ways of how the world will end.
"I hold with those who favor" (4)
Those who think that something will happen a certain way.

The world will always be changing, forcing the end to be changing.
Imagery
"Some say the world will end in fire" (1)
The world may end in fire.
"Some say in ice" (2)
But it is just as likely that the world will end by ice.
"From what I've tasted of desire" (3)
How I think the world will end is by fire. (anger)
Figurative Language

The end of the world might be because of anger.

Some people claim that the world will end because of grief.

While some don't like to think about the world ending, others can't stop thinking about it.
Why I Like This Poem
Anyone can easily relate to this poem. It's also a classic poem that hopefully will never be forgotten.
