  • If you are picking your student up in carpool or parent walk-up please make sure you have your McClure student pick up number with you.
  • If you are a parent walk-up please park in the parking lot that is on your left when you pull into the school entrance and walk over to pick up your student. This helps with traffic flow.

Early Pick Up

In an effort to maintain classroom management, maximize instruction time and minimize end of day confusion, we will not release students between 2:30-3:07 p.m. If you must change the way your student goes home for the day, please notify your child’s teacher via email prior to 2:30 p.m. to ensure that your student will receive the correct information before regular dismissal begins. You will receive a quick reply from the teacher to confirm receipt. Students will not be called from class between 2:30-3:07 p.m. for early dismissal unless there is an emergency situation.

Information from MISD Health Services

Due to a vaccine not available for younger students McKinney ISD will notify classes in elementary schools of confirmed positive cases until this age group has a vaccination available to them.

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year. McKinney will be participating in the USDA waivers for free meals once again this school year. Healthy meals will be offered every school day to all students at no cost.

Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. While no application or eligibility determination is required for your student to receive free meals this school year, income eligibility requirements will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year. As such, McKinney ISD will process household applications during School Year 2021-2022 to ensure student eligibility for free or reduced-price meals during the first 30 days of the 2022-2023 school year

Starting on August 3rd, MISD will begin processing online applications, as well as accepting written applications. Food Service strongly encourages families to apply online this year, however, we will provide schools with paper applications. Every school will be distributed a minimal amount of paper applications for parents to pick up if requested. We are asking each school to communicate or post the following link in newsletters, social media, or other forms of communication http://www.mckinneyisd.schoollunchapp.com/
