North Riverside Elementary
December 14 - December 18, 2015
A message from Nurse Julie
The winter season is among us – and with that – lots of later nights, running store to store, and time with family and friends…all opportunities for your child to catch a cold or flu!!! If you haven’t already, take your child for a flu shot!!! Encourage hand-washing – it is the number one thing to prevent the spread of germs!! If your child is running a fever (a temperature 100 degrees or more) – they need to stay home until they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducers (like Motrin and Tylenol).
Let’s have a happy and HEALTHY winter season!!!
Parents of K-1 Students
North Riverside is using a new program called Letterland to teach students how to read. There is a video below that explains how it works and you can find more information athttp://www.letterland.com/parent-guide.
Please use the box below to thank any staff member at NRES and click submit.
We are planning on giving students prizes for following the NRES expectations. We would like to do a drawing every week based on the tickets students earned for great behavior. We will need quite a few prizes that will be included in the drawing. Do you know anyone or any business that might donate to us? If so, please contact Oliver Mujica at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for ensuring our students are ready for instruction every day. Please remember students need to be in the classroom by 8:00am. Our attendance goal is 97.5%. Can you help us reach it?
If students are tardy, please walk your student to the office. If your student is absent, please make sure to call or send a note to school.
