School Director's welcome
"We all succeed, every day"
That's our motto that we strongly believe in. Happy students that are learning and making progress equal to us succeeding every day.
For the past three weeks, all our wonderful teachers across the school have tirelessly been collecting data on their respective students. We have been empowering them to collect evidence on their learning journeys in our core subjects of Mathematics, English, Science, Arabic, and Islamic. Towards the end of the month, we will invite all our parents for a workshop lead by our students, so that they can share their learning journeys themselves, and be proud of what they've achieved so far.
We are pleased to announce that the "Seesaw" application will be extended throughout the school. This is a fantastic tool for all, where parents can monitor the progress of their child on a daily basis and seeing the work being done.
It is of vital importance in knowing all our students as individuals, and in turn having our students know what is expected from them.
"The art of communication is the language of leadership"
Secondary principal’s welcome
I am delighted to be able to inform you that our boys have now moved into our new boy's secondary school building. I would like to acknowledge the efforts and hard work of our Manager of Facilities, Maintenance and Projects, Engineer Mahmoud Naffa and his team for the care and attention to detail they have paid to complete this building - thank you. Our new facilities are extensive and impressive. Please watch out for announcements to celebrate our opening.
On Thursday 19 October, we will conduct our first Learning Dialogues for the year. These will take place from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. By explaining to parents and teachers “what I have learned so far this year”, students will clearly demonstrate what understanding they have achieved at this point in time. Students are required to attend the Learning Dialogues which will enhance students’ learning and development. Please mark this date in your calendar - further details will be announced via D6 Communicator.

Primary principal’s welcome
In the primary school this week we are beginning to share our learning journeys. For every student in AJAC Primary School it is important to be successful every day, even a small way.
During the week, at the Parents’ Coffee morning, I was extremely proud of 3 students from Grade 4. Saif Rami, Saif Al Ameri and Ghaya Jamal Al Shehhi were super confident and presented their learning journeys to a small group of parents. They were able to speak confidently about their learning, how they had made progress in learning multiplication tables and at what age they had learned a variety of skills. They could easily compare between steps on their own personal journey, remembering ‘when they were little’ They also compared what it had been like in previous schools and how Ajman Academy has improved their learning.
Following on from this taster session, we will soon be inviting all parents to share in their child’s learning journeys at a Student-Led Conference where your child will be able to talk about their own learning this term. All students in the Primary School Gr1 to 5 will take home the new learning journeys for you to share at home. Then parents will be able to work in harmony with us on the next step in your child’s progress. Learning can take place at home, as well as at school and your child is encouraged to show the evidence of any learning at home ( a photograph, journal, study ladder, multiplication work, maths learning etc ) to their teachers so that it can be recorded on the learning and make progress towards our AJAC target, more than 75% of all students exceed the expected progress in a year.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND ITS ACTIVITIES
Ajman Academy competed in the first round of the EISSA football competitions Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
On Tuesday, both the Under 10 and 12 teams had fantastic representation, with Miss Maysoon and Mr. Darren as coaches.
The Under 10s team played two matches:
Their first match was a hard fought tie 2-2 against WIS, but their second match was a close 3-2 win over VISS.
The Under 12s team also played two matches:
Against RAK A they went down 4-6 in a high scoring match, however, defeated RAK C 4-0 in a convincing display.
Yesterday afternoon the U14 and U16 boys football teams travelled to AIS. Unfortunately, the U14 boys were lacking numbers and thus suffered heavy losses to WIS and RAK Academy (4-0 and 4-0).
The U16 boys, however, put their talents on show with great wins over AIS (5-0) and RAK Academy (3-0).
We would like to thank all the participants and the coaches and wish them continued luck in their future games.
BOYS FIRST FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT
GIRLS FIRST NETBALL TOURNAMENT
The first girl's netball tournament kicked off yesterday. Both the U10's and U12's were really excited to play and the team spirit was fantastic! So much more EISSA Netball League's coming up. Congratulations to all that participated.
