WELCOME FROM MR. COLE
Dear WHS Families,
Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! I am thankful for the opportunity to serve in my fourth year as principal of Whitewater High School. My tenure in education spans twenty-five years and this year marks my tenth year at Whitewater. Education is my passion, and nothing gives me greater pleasure than to see our students grow and mature into young men and women through their four-year high school career. It goes without saying, the end of last year and the beginning of this year have been the most challenging for me personally and professionally. I know the same can be said for our students, staff, and extended families. A pandemic is certainly something hard to prepare for, especially when none of us have ever experienced something like this in our lifetimes. However, I could not be more proud of the manner in which our students and staff have conducted themselves at the beginning of this year. We know there was a great deal of anxiety prior to the opening of school about how things were going to work, but the students have done a fantastic job of adhering to our safety protocols. I am very appreciative of their efforts. This is a reflection on you as parents, and you deserve appreciation too.
As we move throughout the year, please know how important the parent/school relationship is to the success of your child. The pyramid of success for our students is built with the student in one corner, the parent in one corner, and the school in the final corner. We have to be able to provide adequate support both at home and at school for our students, and in turn, our students have to challenge themselves to grow through the process. When everything comes together, it is a beautiful outcome in the end. Please know that our administrative team, our guidance staff, and our faculty stand ready to assist you whenever and wherever possible. It is great to be a Wildcat, and we look forward to a great school year. Go CATS!!

ATHLETIC TICKET SALES
Beginning for the 2020-21 school year, all Fayette County high schools will implement a card & mobile payment only ticketing policy at all athletic events. Fans will be able to purchase tickets online through Whitewater's GoFan page or by presenting a debit/credit card (or mobile payment option) at the ticket gate. A new ticket gate setup will help promote social distancing while limiting person-to-person contact and the physical exchange of cash.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online prior to reaching the facility. For your convenience, signage will be displayed at the venue to allow fans to easily navigate an online purchase. Debit/Credit card stations will be set up to support card and mobile payment options at the ticket gates.

Class of 2021
The dates for your senior portraits have been set!
On the Cady website, you will be given the opportunity to update your mailing address, name, and other information. Please confirm your name is spelled correctly because this is how your name will appear in the yearbook.
You will also have the opportunity to select the option to make an appointment at the Cady Studios in Atlanta IF you do not want to have your portraits taken at Whitewater High School.
The dates for the WHS opportunities will be the afternoon and evening of Sept 18, and the entire days of September 12 and 19. If you choose to make an appointment for a WHS sitting session, then you will be charged a $30 sitting fee and will have the formal picture for the yearbook, a cap and gown picture, and one casual picture taken. If you choose to sign up for additional casual pictures, then Cady will charge you based on the package you select.
Please go to http://cady.com/2021 to schedule an appointment.
Again, please know that Cady Studios is coming to WHS so please do not feel you must drive to the studio for your pictures. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com.
