PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Tēnā koutou kātoa e te whānau,
Thank you to everyone who supported our Kapa Haka Roopu at the Faithbased Kahui Ako Ahurei last Friday at John Paul College. I am sure you will agree that our group was awesome. I was a very proud principal indeed! Thank you to Whaea Kelly for working tirelessly behind the scenes to get our tamariki ready for this event. A huge thank you to Tiki for stepping in at the last minute to accompany our kids with his guitar skills. We are truly blessed to have so much talent in our little school, we really do punch above our weight.
We are currently looking at our staffing and roll for next year. If you have younger children who are starting school next year, please come to the school office and pick up an enrolment pack from Cristy. If you know of families who are thinking about a Catholic education for their child, please direct them to Cristy in the office.
Our staffing for next year has been finalised and due to our numbers, we have made some changes to the layout of our classes.
Next year we will have two hubs.
The Ark - Year 1 -3
Kate Keaney - Team Leader - Year 2/3 / DRS
Zenobia Knox - Year 1/2
Marion Brits - Specialist Teacher
Galilee - Year 4 - 6
Shayla O'Neill - Team Leader - Year 5/6 / SENCO
Jo Paget/ Kelly Swinton - Year 4/5
This Sunday Gia Geyer, Tamia Petersen, and Quinn Walsh will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and First Holy Communion at St Mary's Church. This is a special time of faith development for these children. Let us continue to pray for them that the journey they have started may continue throughout their life journey.
Have a great week everyone,
Rachael McLanachan

PTA News
Mcdonalds Hamburger Night:
A huge thank you to everyone that supported our McDonald’s Hamburger night. It was a great success and we made a profit of $830 to go towards the bike track. This event would not be possible without our amazing PTA & friend helpers, so a big thank you to all our volunteers. The Mcdonald’s staff were extremely impressed with our energy & work ethic and would love to see us back fundraising again next year. Thank you to McDonald's for giving us this fundraising opportunity.
If anyone has any connections with concrete layers or diggers could you please get in touch with the PTA.
PTA meeting next Wednesday 23rd November at 5:30 at school
Thanks from your PTA Committee
