The Village Bluebird

December 2020/January 2021

Season's Greetings!

Dear VES Families,

We hope you are safe and well during this holiday season. Our final weeks of December will be filled with learning experiences that include diverse read alouds, appreciation for various seasonal celebrations, and a focus on our pillar of character, trustworthiness. Students will engage in social and emotional learning during an afternoon of mindfulness activities as well as a school wide holiday celebration. We hope your winter recess is equally as joyful and festive.

Stay up to date with visits to the VES, MES PTA and MSEPTA websites to learn about exciting activities and ways to stay involved in support of our schools. Our PTAs have so much going on that you don't want to miss!

Our VES family wishes you the very best for a safe and healthy holiday season and a Happy New Year! Enjoy this special time with your loved ones.

A Message from the Health Office

Dear Families,

National Handwashing week is December 1-7. Remember to wash your hands and wash away germs every day of every week!

National Influenza Vaccination week is Dec. 6-12. Please review CDC information to help your family fight the flu.

Nosebleed Prevention - If your child suffers from winter nosebleeds it may be from the dry air. Try using a cold air humidifier in your child’s room at night. Saline nose drops or petroleum jelly may help too. If severe, consult your pediatrician.

Wishing you healthy days ahead!
