About the Presentation:
This full-day workshop is designed to guide paraeducators toward reaching their potential as service providers. It gives them tools to use to increase their effectiveness, as well as strategies for avoiding and resolving conflict. Supported by a multi-media presentation, Unlocking Your Para Potential will guide paras toward being stronger contributors in their schools and works to inspire paraprofessionals to support an atmosphere of cooperation, collaboration and learning that will lead to greater success for students.
Unlocking Your Para Potential is appropriate for paraprofessionals of all grade levels. It includes an up-beat mix of topical and thought-provoking lecture as well as engaging Coffee Talks (group discussions and engaging activities). Attendees will also walk away with a Tool Kit, which includes guides, further resources, and a variety of other tools to help paras be more effective, more involved, and more professional.

- Celebrating the Rewards and Meeting the Challenges of being a Paraprofessional.
- The Differentiation of Roles between Paras and SpEducators/Classroom teachers.
