Genral information

The Congo basin is located at the heart of Africa. It is a large marine and forest ecosystem.
It has about 520 million hectares that include Cameroon, and the democratic republic of the Congo.


Plants of the Congo include: Venus fly traps, kapok trees, ferns, and Buttress roots.


The Congo Basin has a lot of animals however there are only a few species of big large mammals. the most common animals in the basin are gorillas and elephants.
