Notes From the Office
Communications From Dr. Gray & Mr. Renner
Please see the information from Dr. Gray. Below you will find additional information about Spencer...
Dear BAS family, while all Brighton Area Schools are canceled for the next three weeks, today
Friday March 13th, we will be allowing families to come to their school(s) between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm to pick up your child(ren)s "essential" personal items. This is a one day opportunity for access to obtaining these personal items. Please be patient, understanding and kind to our limited staff who will be assisting you today so we can make sure that we get you your items as efficiently as possible. We are also in the process of working through distance learning options and will be sharing those plans in the coming days and weeks. As we move through these unprecedented times We will be communicating any and all updates we receive related to Brighton Area Schools and your child(ren)s education. While you are in the building today make sure you practice social distancing and good hygiene protocols and if you are sick do not come. We thank you for your understanding and patience as our ability to come together as a community and work through these difficult times is the definition of the "Brighton Difference".
If you are in need of food, you can find some essentials to help get you through the weekend. I have moved a cart with pre-bagged items near the drop-off area so you can drive up and take a bag. The supplies are first come and first serve. After, four o'clock those items will be in the Spencer food pantry located near the front entrance.
We are working on a plan to help with the rest of the time away for food and learning.
Thanks for your flexibility and patience, we'll get through this together,
B. Renner

Opportunity to Help a Spencer Family
Dear Spencer Families,
Christy Opsommer, a Spencer parent, has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. We need your help to see that the family has one less thing to worry about during this difficult time. Please keep Christy, her two young children, and family in your thoughts during this difficult time.
WatchDOGS Program Suspended
With the recent events of Covid-19, we are no longer having additional visitors in the building until further notice. We will try to reschedule as soon as possible if we are able.
Sorry about the inconvenience and thanks for your flexibility,
B. Renner
