Weekly Updates/ Reminders:
- There will be NO weekly PLC or PST meetings with admin this week due to the short week. Please ensure that you are your team are still conducting PLC meetings, reviewing student work and tracking your daily exit tickets on the provided tracker.
- Please check your email for the Teacher Non-Negotables check list, as requested.
- Lesson plans must be available upon request to any visitor.
- Homework must go home with students on a weekly basis, please make sure that you are sending home ample opportunities for practice and review
- Students should be on iReady for 45 minutes per week in both ELA and Math, please be reminded that the usage of this program is first priority. If you are using any other programs they should only be utilized supplementary.
- ALL students are required to take ALL district assessments, this includes iReady, Achievement Series and grade level Common Formative Assessments-- no excuses will be accepted on why a student was not assessed.

Instructional Levers:
- How am I checking for the understanding of ALL students? Exit Tickets?
- During classroom visits we will be looking for the use of Exit Tickets and observing Guided Reading Groups.
- Ensure guided reading groups are planned out for each group in order to meet the individual needs of your students. In order to close the gaps we must ensure we are intentional planning and using data to guide our decisions daily.
- Exit tickets should be logged into master trackers for ELA and Math.
Weekly Behavioral LOOK-FORS:
As Fall Break and Winter Break Approach students will be thinking about vacation they may forget a few things about classroom expectation and behavior.
- Morning Restorative Community Circles implemented with fidelity and as a means to build relationships and classroom community.
- Review over School-wide and Classroom expectations
- Monitor Student behavior by circulating and scanning the classroom
- Catch small behaviors and utilize the Safe Seat set up in our classrooms as a Tier I positive and restorative behavioral lever.
- Provide positive and corrective feedback through restorative conversations with our students.
Upcoming Dates/ Events:
- Wednesday November 21-23, 2018, NO SCHOOL Fall Break!!!!!!!! Have a relaxing 3 days!!!
- Monday, November 26, 2019-- BLT Meeting 4:30 - 5:30 pm
Shout Outs
- Dismissal Crew: For dropping everything and pitching in where necessary for dismissal on Friday.
- 3rd, 4th and 6th grade teachers for pitching in when your grade level partner was absent to take on an additional half of a class.
- Teachers for being so flexible during pictures on Wednesday.
- Family Engagement Committee: For organizing a PHANTASTIC Fall Festival!
- 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 1st Grade, and 6th Grade - For supporting each other and displaying patience and perseverance during a grade level teammates absence.
- Special Education Department: .Organizing and implementing A LOT of IEP meetings in a timely and professional manner throughout last week.
- Ms. Williams and LINC staff for taking the choir to sing at the nursing home.
