The Spookiest Season of Cascadia Has Arrived!
What's a better way to start out your fall quarter than that anticipating feeling of carving pumpkins and dressing up? We're all excited that October is finally here, and Cascadia is pulling together a few events to start off our October just right. Continue reading to learn more!
A Special Drawing Event This Month: Witchtober!
Witchtober is a popular and fun drawing event that happens during October! You can use any form of media to create your art, but most use ink and paper. This event was made to help artists better their art, but also to have fun creating new things they haven't before. In this Witchtober, you draw a witch based on what word you chose!
You get a prompt for each day, and this particular one seems like you can choose which one you want for any day. There are other prompts you can find with a quick google search if you want something different!
If you feel like it, you can upload your art to Instagram, Twitter, or any other platform you have using the #willowwitchtober, #witchtober and/or #witchtober2021 tags. Is posting your art publicly not your thing? No problem! It's an event just for fun, so there's no pressure to send it out into the world (or miss a day).
Welcome Kodiaks 2021!
The Welcome Kodiaks 2021 program is a series of events and activities over the first 6 weeks of the fall quarter designed to help students learn about the resources available at Cascadia, make connections with other students as well as faculty & staff, and assist in helping with their next steps at Cascadia and beyond.
Each week has a theme where Cascadia will highlight a few services and there will be events to help you engage, learn, and connect with our Cascadia Kodiak community.
This week is all about social connections! Visit the link below for a list of this week's events.
