Principal's Message
2019-2020
Dear Highland Park Bulldogs,
Within this yearbook you will find reminders of the magic that happens at Highland Park on a daily basis. I hope as you look through these colorful pages, you reflect on the wonderful memories we created this year. I am thankful to have shared in the joy you felt when we had our glow in the dark fun run, our pajama palooza, when we placed 1st in the district in the UIL academic meet, field day, musicals, sharing laughs with our Friday joke of the week, and so many wonderful events! I am thankful and blessed to have experienced this Bulldog magic with such an amazing group of dedicated staff, students, and parents.
To our staff, I can’t thank you enough for your compassion, dedication, love, energy and commitment to our students. Your servant leadership is evident and I’m beyond grateful to be a part of this team. Special thanks to our PTO who, as usual, went above and beyond the call of duty to provide whatever was necessary to add to our students’ school experience.
A final word to our bulldog students. This year you were faced with unprecedented circumstances, and you had to adapt to a new way of learning. Online learning, learning from home, away from your teachers, friends, and your Highland Park family. Even with these difficult circumstances, you showed perseverance and you never gave up. I am so honored to be your principal; you make me proud to be a Highland Park Bulldog. All year long, you kept me laughing and young at heart. I am grateful for your joy, your insight, your amazing talents, and your determination. Best wishes to our graduating fifth graders, whom I will miss greatly—please come back and visit. Remember our saying “Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog”!
Highland Park Bulldogs WOOF!
Your very proud Principal,
