Testing for Student Athletes, will continue today, Monday, Feb 22nd as scheduled
BinaxNOW Covid-19 Testing for ALL WINTER Student Athletes:
Binax testing for student athletes is mandatory and will take place every Monday in the school gym beginning on February 1, 2021, and running through the end of the winter sports season with the exception of February 15, which is Presidents’ Day.
* CONSENT FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER FOR THEM TO BE TESTED!*
What is the test?
The BinaxNOW COVID-19 test involves using a swab placed inside the tip of the nose to collect a specimen for testing. For students under the age of 12, a trained COVID-19 test facilitator will conduct the swab test. Students ages 12 and older will be assisted through the process by a trained test facilitator.
Testing will only be completed with parent/guardian (for students) or staff consent. A COVID-19 Testing Consent Form is located in Aspen under the “Tasks'' widget area (similar to the “Covid Daily Student/Staff Screening”). This Consent Form only needs to be completed once for parents/guardians and staff to agree to periodic testing for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

Seniors: Check Naviance for Scholarships!
Trust me, any scholarship is worth it!!

Just a reminder for your high school seniors that the following scholarship offerings are available from RISLA. Now that acceptance letters have been flooding in for your senior class, focus should now turn to scholarships to help fund their education dreams.
Reminder 1: RISLA’s Knowledge for College Scholarship is still accepting entries and has 10 more winners to be drawn between now and graduation season. Three $2,000 winners will be drawn for February, March and April and one bonus winner in May. Students must enter to win. Entry is quick and easy and does not require any essay!
Reminder 2: RIScholarships.org is a great place to start searching and identifying the best matches for your students' unique talents and interests. Students can easily search by application due date deadlines, amounts, or view the entire list in alphabetical order.
So, while scholarships are top of mind for students and families, we hope you can help us to spread the word by sharing these links with your senior class.
We greatly appreciate our partnership with your school and thank you in advance for helping us tell more and more students about these scholarship opportunities.
Sincerely,
RISLA
