News You Can Use!
March 20, 2017 Ms. Postema & Mrs. Blankenship
Curriculum Update
Writing- In connection with reading, the students will be participating in writing to different types of texts.
Social Studies- We will begin our study of the Cold War. Students will have a notebook check for a DG Monday. They are well aware of this assignment!
Math - On Monday we will have our daily grade on converting units of measurement. Then we will be learning about coordinate grids. In today's Friday folder, the students have a study packet to practice for the Georgia Milestones test. Believe it on not, it's just four weeks away. There is an answer key at the back for them to check their answers. I would like the students to pace out the pages so that they can get through the whole thing before the test.
Science - We will be learning about static and current electricity.
The Jackson Reader's Rally Team Rocks!
Spring Pictures and/or money are due by Friday, March 24th. Thank you in advance for helping us with our collection!
Book Fair....
Book Fair- We will be vising the book fair with our homeroom class. Students who bring money that day may make a purchase. Others may make a wish list if they see something they'd like. If they bring money on a later day, they may go and make a purchase.
- Ms. Postema's class will be visiting the book fair on Wednesday, 3/22.
-Mrs. Blankenship's class will be visiting the book fair on Thursday, 3/23.
Thank you to all of our families who donated to the Jackson Jam silent auction baskets! We appreciate your support!
