Meet the Stellar Scholars Team
Tim Bauer, Vincennes Liason
My name is Tim Bauer. I have lived on our family farm near Loogootee for my entire life and love the country and being outdoors.
I graduated from Loogootee High School then attended Vincennes University where I completed my AS in Precision Machining. I spent 18 years working in the Bedford area for a local tool and die shop before returning to Indiana Wesleyan to earn my BS in Management.
I was hired by Vincennes University in 2008 as a precision machining instructor. I went on to earn my MS in Leadership Development from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in 2011. After completion of my MS degree, I accepted the position of Assistant Dean of Instruction with the Early College program in Bloomington at Hoosier Hills Career Center. I was given the opportunity to work with BNL in the development of the Early College program here in 2018.
I call the Bedford area home because I have spent so much of my working life in the area. I like the people and culture of the area and am thankful that I was given the opportunity to work here at BNL as we continue to grow the Early College program and give our students a great opportunity towards meeting their future goals.
Wendy Pemberton, Early College Coordinator
I live in Bedford with my husband Brian. I have three boys- Austin who graduated from IU Southeast, Aden who attends Purdue University, & Nate who is a senior here at BNL.
Jenna Clark, BNL Assistant Principal
My name is Jenna Clark. I grew up just west of Indianapolis, in Avon Indiana. I went on to IU, to study Psychology as well as Human Development and Family Studies. I also earned a Masters's degree in Counseling and Counselor Education from IU. After 10 years serving as a high school counselor at BNL, I pursued a degree in Education Leadership. After one year away from the school, to serve as the NLCS Career Pathways Coordinator, I returned BNL to serve as one of three assistant principals at the school in 2021. My role allows me to work directly with the Early College program. I truly love this work and enjoy any opportunity to work with students, teachers, and families.
My family includes my husband, 12 year old son, and 10 year daughter. I also have a dog that is much like a third child. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and his name is Charley. Our family loves to camp, travel, and play board games.

Senior Spotlight
My name is Ava Sanchez and I have been taking college credits for the Stellar Scholars program since freshman year! It has been a tough and rewarding journey taking all of these classes and seeing how much I have accomplished. My favorite ICC class I have taken would be either AP Literature from junior year, or IU Chemistry from sophomore year. Both of these classes, even though they were difficult, were very educational and exciting. While taking all of these classes, I have also been a part of the BNL Stars Dance Force. This has been a good way to get rid of my stress and have fun. I also work at a local dance studio called Fusion. I teach hip-hop classes to younger kids in the community and I couldn't ask for a better job! It makes me so happy to teach the kids and see how they grow and improve through the year. This is some of my story and I hope to encourage people to get into Stellar Scholars and really take it seriously!
