WMS Drama Club - Matilda!

Congratulations to the cast, crew, and staff directors on an amazing performance of Matilda! The show was OUTSTANDING and all involved should be extremely proud!

Grade 5/6 School Dance

On Friday, February 18, we had approximately 200 students participate in the Grade 5/6 dance! Our students (pictured below) danced the night away. Thank you to our PTO, parent chaperones, and DJ for an awesome night! We are looking forward to our other upcoming dances (information below)!

Spring Sports Registration

FamilyID is now open for any students in Grades 7-12 who wish to register for a spring sport. Baseball, softball, boys and girls tennis are open to 7th-12th graders. The registration deadline is March 14th. All spring sports tryouts begin on Monday, March 21st.


Please be on the lookout for intramural information for our Grade 5 and 6 students!

Good Vibes Only Club

6 Week Yoga & Meditation Afterschool Group

Week of March 7th - Week of April 11th at Mondays @ 2pm

60 minutes


In this group we will learn different techniques to create positive energy and attract success in all areas of life, including health, finances, and relationships. Using Yoga, Meditation, Breathing Exercises and Sound Healing, we will stretch our body, clear our mind, and calm our nervous system to attract and manifest all that we desire. This is a beginner friendly class, no experience necessary. Wear comfortable clothes, bring your yoga mat if you have one. Meet us in the 1500 common area past the band/chorus rooms.

This group will be led by Sarah Moniz, Owner of Solshine Yoga Studio and mom to a Westport middle schooler. Sarah is a 400 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Meditation Instructor, Reiki Master and Energy Medicine practitioner.

Term 3 Progress Reports

Progress reports for Term Three will be available on the Community Portal on March 9. Please email lhonohan@westportschools.org with any questions regarding the Community Portal.

March Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be held virtually on Wednesday, March 9 from 2:15-4:15 PM. Please be on the lookout for emails regarding sign ups from your student's respective teachers.


In the event that you do not receive any emails with sign up information by March 7, please email lhonohan@westportschools.org.

Lost and Found

There are several items in the school Lost and Found bin. We will be donating them on March 17 if they remain unclaimed. The bin is currently housed on the stage in the Auditorium. If your student has misplaced an item and believes it is in the bin, they should come to the Main Office and will be taken there to look. Again, any unclaimed items will be donated on March 17.

PTO Updates

Hello Friends and Families,


Greetings from the Westport Middle-High PTO. We hope everyone is doing well and look forward to seeing you at some of our upcoming events!


We would like to thank our board members, teachers, staff and the amazing volunteers that make the PTO successful!! Together we were able to host the first 5th and 6th grade dance of the year in the new school and it was an amazing experience for the students! The 8th grade DC trip and Semi Formal are also a Go!! We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Mr. Jonathan Bernier for his leadership and work coordinating this trip. We could not do it without him!


As of today, All of our March dances are on HOLD. We are excited to support and cheer on Both of our basketball teams as they continue through to playoffs for the MIAA state tournament. Girls play home on Tuesday 3/1/2022 and the Boys play home on Friday 3/4/2022. We will resume our dances once the tournament is complete.


Please keep in mind that in order to make our dances and fundraisers successful, we NEED your help. We need chaperones and planners for each dance and event. Please volunteer. We can’t continue to offer events for the students and staff without you!!

Westport Athletic Boosters Updates

A Note from The Westport Athletic Boosters:


Congratulations to all of our student athletes for another spectacular season!!

  • Varsity Jacket order forms are available in Mr. Pacheco’s office. Other apparel can be ordered by email or in person. Just send us an email.

  • WAB is currently selling Fundraising Calendars to help fund our scholarship program. Calendars are just $10 each!!! Please Email us if interested.

  • Our big Mattress Fundraising Event is coming up!!! Save the Date: March 26, 2022. Time for a new mattress, new sheets, or new pillows? This event will be set up in the gym of the new Middle-High School. Come check it out! They have a variety of items and prices, financing options will also be available!

Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day

Please wear GREEN in honor of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. Students will watch a brief informational video regarding the day in their respective homerooms. A big thank you to Grade 7 student Madison Julasak for organizing the day!
