Collecting iPads

iPads will remain at school beginning Friday, May 14 in order to begin the turn in process for the end of the year. Please make sure your child's bag, charger, and iPad are sent in Friday, May 14 to remain in the classroom until check in time. Thanks!

Reading on RAZ-- Getting prepped for EOY testing!

Our kiddos will be testing for their reading level and phonics skills beginning next week. We have adjusted our students' reading levels on RAZ Kids in order to match their current comprehension level. Please have them read nightly (two books if at all possible this week) to prep for testing and keep skills fresh. They won't have devices to complete RAZ Kids after May 14th!

Don't forget these items!

There are some items that your child needs each day. Please make sure your child has these items:

  • A daily snack
  • Water bottle (students are unable to drink from water fountains)
  • iPad (charged!)
  • Headphones
  • Take Home Folder

Don't forget to initial daily on your child's check off sheet and leave it in the back of their folder!

Spelling Tests (Every Friday)

Please review the words in these word families/spelling patterns as well as the tricky words for the week. Our students will have a spelling test with words from these spelling patterns (there are no specific words to memorize) and they will be given two tricky words as bonus words on the test as well. Study lists A, B, and C! They are all words that fit into the phonics skill they are being tested on. We will call out 10 random words within spellings patterns below and they will have to tap them out and write them.

Help your child study up with flashcards, white boards, writing, and whatever you and your child prefers!
