Vision
To work in partnership with all district stakeholders to support all students and staff in the effective and innovative use of current and emerging technologies as a tool to live, learn, and create, now and in the future.
Mission
The Technology Advisory Forum will play a role in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of current and possible technology focus areas and goals.
Purpose
To provide:
· A formal structure for the discussion of educational and operational aspects of technology use.
· Input on what district technology initiatives and programs should invest in.
· Ongoing review of the district progress of adopted technologies and goals.
· Technology ambassadors who promote the positive aspects of technology within their building as well as district-wide.
· Strategic input, ideas, advice, and assistance in the planning and implementation of technology hardware and software.
Committee Representation
· 1 to 2 – Board Members
· 5 to 6 - Teaching and instructional support staff representing each type of school (elementary, middle school, high school)
· 3 to 4 - Educational administration representing each role (principal, assistant principal, supervisor) and type of school (elementary, middle school, high school)
· 3 to 4 - Parent representation from each school or grade band (K-5, 6-8, 9-12) with varying professions (computer science, IT, business, law, or finance)
· 2 to 3 - Tech-literate students from varying grade-levels (middle school and high school) on an informal basis, and as appropriate to the topic/discussion. (Eagle Tech Assistants - 1 from each building)
· 3 to 4 - District I.T. Staff (Director, 1 from Operations, 1 C.I.T.)
· 2 to 3 – Cabinet Members (Supt or Asst Supt, Student Services, CFO)
Anticipated Meeting Schedule
· Approx. 4-5 times/year, September – June
· Tuesday mornings 7:30-9:00 AM
· Evening meetings
· Jan 28th, Mar 31st, May 26th

Girls On The Run
- The spring Girls on the Run season is quickly approaching!
- GOTR is an after-school club for 3rd-5th grade girls
- Practices will be held at Hampden on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45-5:15 PM
- The first practice will be on Thursday, February 27th
- The season will conclude with a noncompetitive 5K on Sunday, May 17th
- Registration opens January 3rd
- Please note that GOTR utilizes a lottery system for registration
