Hope bags (Panther bags)
We are extremely fortunate to have a community resource called the H.O.P.E Packs Program. This free program provides bags of food for families on a weekly basis and is meant to be kid-friendly, easy to prepare and a supplemental food supply for families. The bags are sent home with your student every Friday, beginning September 9th.
If you feel your child could benefit from this free service, please contact our school counselor, Nikki Arnold at nikki_arnold@plsd.us

Trunk or Treat
We are so excited to bring back our Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, October 23 from 3pm to 5pm. Join us in the Fairfield Elementary parking lot for costumes, games, balloon twisters, a trunk decorating contest, and CANDY! Kona Ice and Zapata's food trucks will be here as well. Register your family before October 20th to receive a discounted price! Use this link to sign up today: https://forms.gle/i5Ea3CNufEgvyZsj9
We need volunteers to make this event a success! How can you help?
- The PTO needs candy! Can you donate a bag of candy that we can use as prizes for our carnival games? Send in any candy to the office with your student marked for "PTO" and we'll pick it up throughout the month.
- Volunteer at the event! We need some additional parents/adults to help with our set up crew, manage our student volunteers, staff our PTO "trunk tables," and clean up at the end of the event. Can you help for a bit while your kids are playing at the event? Sign up here: https://signup.com/go/ohOaAdD
Thank you for providing donations for the staff for Parent/Teacher conference night.
Clinic Clothing Drive
Our clinic clothing drive continues throughout this month. The Fairfield nurse's clinic has a critical need for new packages of underwear in XS and S kid sizes, and gently used pants that can be given to children after accidents, especially in smaller sizes (4 to 8.)
As the weather gets cooler, you might be swapping out your kids' shorts for pants. But (surprise!) maybe they grew A LOT over the summer? Send those too-short pants to school! Help our school nurses and make some room in your closets. It's a win-win!
Enrollment Projections Hold True Highlighting Need for Pickerington Schools' Bond Passage
Pickerington Schools’ enrollment has exceeded projections for the 2022-23 school year, and the student population is forecasted to increase by nearly 1,000 students by the 2027-28 school year. By that point in time, nearly every building in the district will be over capacity. The two charts below break down the expected enrollment growth by school year, as well as the enrollment versus capacity in each of our buildings through the 2029-30 school year.
Pickerington Schools’ Nov. 8 bond issue will be used to address this rapid growth in the student population by constructing a new junior high and renovating and expanding existing facilities. Community approval of the bond issue will help our students for years to come, and will help keep our schools and property values strong. Learn more about the bond issue on our website. Don’t forget that early in-person and absentee voting by mail is open now and election day is Nov. 8. More information about voting is available on the Vote Ohio website.

Student Drop off Procedures
Morning drop off ends at 9:15 a.m.
ALL student drop off in the morning is around the back of the school. We ask that parent(s)/guardian(s) not park in the parking lot before 9:15 a.m., to drop off your students. Our parking lot lane is for buses ONLY, to pull in to drop off students! This has been the procedure at Fairfield for many years and is for the safety of your child and for all of our students.
Parent(s)/guardian(s) are to get in the drop off line and follow the line around the building. There are staff there to release your student from your vehicle.
If it is after 9:15 a.m., then parents are to park in the parking lot (not in front of the school), then walk your child to the office and sign them in as late.
