Please send your child to school with headphones
This week, 6th and 7th graders will be taking brief tests in reading and in math. 8th graders will take these same tests the following week. These are universal screeners to provide staff with valuable information that enable us to assist all students academically. These are tests that we do not want students to stress about, but rather simply do their best! Students will need their earphones for these tests. If your student does not have earphones yet, please be sure to get them before next Tuesday, September 20th. Thank you for helping us reach all students through these important screeners!
NOTE FROM THE NURSE
The New Hanover County Health Department will be offering in-school flu vaccines to all Middle and High School students beginning in October. The vaccine will be administered by Health Department nurses and UNCW nursing students/faculty to those with written parental permission and to those who do not have medical issues that would keep them from receiving the flu vaccine. Only preservative-free vaccines will be administered. The vaccine will be administered on a scheduled date at your child's school and there will be no make-up dates.
The flu virus can cause serious illness, especially among children and adolescents. The single best way to help prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and members of our local medical community recommend that all children be vaccinated against the flu. Our goal is to prevent students from being sick with the flu and missing unnecessary days from school, as well as keeping our community healthy.
If you are interested in this opportunity to protect your child, please:
1. Complete the attached In-School Vaccination Authorization form including your child's insurance information
2. Return it to your child's homeroom teacher by September 23, 2022
3. Forms can also be faxed to 910-530-6251
We are unable to vaccinate anyone without completed paperwork including insurance information. We will not accept In-School Vaccination Authorization forms after September 23, 2022
Noble School Store is Open Wednesdays from 8:00-8:30
Huge THANK YOU to our amazing parent volunteers!

- All band students should have an instrument by now. If there is a problem obtaining an instrument or you have questions, please contact Mrs. Knauf ASAP at firstname.lastname@example.org, call 910-350-2112 ext.74576, or stop by after school so we can find a solution and your child won't fall behind
