Dear Families,

If your family celebrates Valentine’s Day, you may be thinking of ways to express your affection for friends and family this week. Whether or not our family takes part in this tradition, it is always a good time to reflect on the theme of love. It is arguably the most important concept humans can gather around. May you find space and time to soak in all the love around you and pass it on. See the articles below for some inspiration around being intentional about teaching love as a family value.

The Clothing Bank is currently closed due to Covid19 restrictions, however IFCB is holding periodic events for individuals and families to choose winter gear. Our clothing events are open to registered clients in our expanded clothing bank service area: 98027, 98029, 98074, 98075, 98038, 98024, 98025, 98014, 98045, 98050, 98055-59, 98065.

The Y is pleased to introduce Y LEAP Academy, a full-day program designed in partnership with individual school districts to support kids and families with distance learning and school-day care along with the enrichment activities, social emotional learning, and play that the Y is known for. Schoolhouse Rec!

“Schoolhouse Rec!” provides children with a safe, quiet and supportive environment for successful online schooling participation with the added benefit of socialization during lunch, recess and Wednesday afternoon art, PE and crazy shenanigans! February spots are available for Issaquah School District students, grades K-5. Create a schedule that works for your family. $60/day; $50/day for Issaquah Residents.
