Cheers to a New Year!
I hope your 2016 is off to a great start!
Starting this semester, we're launching the CPS Grants Insider as a quarterly resource for the grant seekers in your schools and community. Feel free to share this newsletter widely throughout your buildings with teachers, staff, etc.
For additional online resources, be sure to check out the CPS Grant Resources website (link is below). The website is chock full of detailed information on how to submit a grant and provides a comprehensive list of upcoming grant opportunities to fit any project’s size and scope.
Still have questions? Feel free to drop me a line anytime.
Happy grant seeking,
Kara Shibiya
FYI- A New Grant Submission Procedure
Beginning in the 2015-16 school year, a district-wide Grants Administration and Compliance (GAC) Committee will oversee all grant submissions sought out for the benefit of CPS schools and students.
This new process will improve coordination and collaboration among our many community partners who are seeking grant funding, as well as ensure the district is sufficiently prepared and staffed to handle the administrative support required in the execution of our many grant programs.
Interested in submitting a grant? Follow these 2 easy steps:
- Download and review the Guidelines for School, District, and Community Partner Grant Applications document online at the Grant Resources website.
- Interested applicants should submit a completed Grant Proposal Summary Form at least 30 days prior to your grant submission.
The Grant Administration & Compliance Committee will review your Grant Proposal Summary Form and contact you if further information is needed on your grant request and/or to approve the future submission.
