Plagiarism

Anytime that you use someone else's ideas or work, without citing who said it, you are plagiarizing. Taking someone's ideas is a form of stealing. If you are going to use their ideas, give credit to or cite your source.

Paraphrasing

According to Write for College, Paraphrasing is using your own words to restate the author's ideas.

Sources

Write for College says that a credible source has current, complete, and accurate information. Also be sure that the information is not biased. Sources give you a lot of information and if they are good, make your writing sound more intelligent and believable.
