Friendship Parties

Hanawalt students will celebrating friendship on February 14th . The goal is to encourage kids to be good to their friends and talk about caring and sharing. Classrooms will still acknowledge that is Valentine's Day, but the day will be about recognizing each other as friends and how we should treat our friends. Your child's teacher will send out more information.

Meeting the Needs of Our Students

We have finished our MAP and FAST testing, measuring students' understanding of reading and math. This information will help us determine the appropriate level of support for students.

Thank you for all you do to support your children every day as they strive and grow. We at Hanawalt Elementary appreciate your kindness and partnership!

New Clubs for 2nd - 5th Grade Students

Student will be starting new clubs starting Wednesday, February 6th. Here are some of the new clubs we are offering:

Science of Cooking

Card Collecting

Supporting K-1 Clubs

The students were able to pick from a list of 20 different clubs. Please be sure to ask your child about his/her new club!
