Reminder About After School

We would like to remind parents and students the expectations after school. Unless the student is under direct supervision of a staff member, students must be outside and not roaming the building. If there is a particular need for your student after school, please contact the school. Students who are not under direct supervision for an activity are subject to discipline measures using the GCISD student code of conduct.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Parents, please remember when dropping off or picking up, using the fire lane is prohibited. This is the lane closest to Heritage Avenue. Thank you.

Need Some Protection For Your Laptop?

Laptop Sleeves now available - $10

Show your school spirit and keep your laptop cushioned in your backpack. These sleeves are neoprene and have an opening at the top that the Dell 3150 can easily slide into. Please send cash or a check made out to HMS PTA to the front office.

GCISD Special Olympics 3rd Annual "Triple Threat Shoot Out"

The GCISD Special Olympics Basketball team will take on the Grapevine and Colleyville Police Departments in a charity game to support the GCISD Special Olympics Team. Admission is $2.00. Hot Dogs, Snacks and Refreshments will be available for purchase. Performances by: Dove Drummers, GHS Choir and More...You can donate here.

Rachel's Challenge 5K and Community Fair

GCISD is gearing up for the annual Rachel's Challenge 5K and Community Fair on April 16th. We will have two guest speakers and several student performances throughout the morning. HMS National Junior Honor Society Fundraiser

It is time for the HMS National Junior Honor Society fundraiser benefiting The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Our Pasta for Pennies program helps to fund life saving blood cancer research and helps children and adults going through treatment right now. Please see all the details here.

Laptop Backgrounds and Screensavers

We want students to have some individualization when it comes to their GCISD laptop. However, we ask that you look at your student's computer periodically to ensure there isn't anything that may be inappropriate or offensive on backgrounds or screensavers.

8Th Grade Party Donations

Can you believe it’s already time to think of the 8th grade end-of-year party? We would love your help in collecting items for door prizes. Parents may donate gift certificates or gift cards suitable for 8th graders, or you may donate cash to assist us in purchasing them. You may leave any donations at the front office in an envelope addressed to Stasia Bandy. Do you know a GCISD senior? HMS PTA scholarship applications are now open online. Deadline is March 24th. You can visit your counselor's web page to find the link to scholarships or it can be found here.

HMS Jr. Thespians One-Act Play performance on February 25 at 7:00 PM in the HMS SAC.


Boys and Girls Track - The first meet of the 2016 track season will be on February 23rd hosted by HMS. HMS, Grapevine, Coppell West and Carroll Middle schools will compete. Field events begin at 4pm.

Boys and Girls Tennis

February 22nd vs. Coppell East at Colleyville Heritage High School. Matches will begin at 4:30 PM.

BOX TOP$ for Education

HMS PTA is collecting BOX TOP$ for Education. Did you know that 50 BOX TOP$ = $5.00 for our school? You can send your BOX TOP$ to school with your child. They can drop them in the BOX TOP$ box located at the front office. Thank you to those parents that have already sent some. We are off to a good start! Thank you for your help - HMS PTA.

HMS Spirit Wear Orders

Show your Bronco Pride and support the PTA by ordering an HMS t-shirt. Print out the order form, fill it out and send it back to school with cash or check made out to HMS PTA. Your child can turn the order form in at the front office. Spirit wear items will be sent home with your student within a few days of placing the order. Questions? PTA Membership

Join HMS PTA and help us make this year the best yet! All you need to do is print this registration form and have your student leave it with your check, made out to HMS PTA, in the office. This form also gives you the opportunity to participate in our Bronco Bucks fundraiser. Bronco Bucks means no door-to-door sales for our Broncos! Volunteers Needed

Hello PTA parents! Would you like to get involved at HMS as a volunteer? Please contact Mary Ellen Blackstone at meblackstone@gmail.com. We have many opportunities to get involved as a parent volunteer. Even if you aren't able to commit to a regular volunteer schedule we can still use your help. At HMS there are many different programs and activities that need assistance. Please send Mary Ellen a note and let her know you are interested in being in the volunteer pool.
